Local Attractions

Hartney is home to many great attractions with lots to do all year round. In the summer the pool and spray park is the place to be with public swimming, swimming lessons, deep water training and aqua sizes all taking place here. We are only a quick drive away from a newly renovated 9 hole golf course. The Fairgrounds is down the street with three baseball diamonds, play structure and beach volleyball court as well as the school grounds that has soccer pitches, basketball hoops and more play equipment. In August we are home to Hartney Hopper Days which is our local festival. The Lauder Sandhills which create beautiful scenery for hiking, pictures and bird watching is only a 10 minute drive away. The Souris River, which flows just outside of town is great for canoeing, kayaking, floating and fishing

Great place to camp.

Jul 9, 2020by Catherine Gaudet
We have been coming to the Hartney Campground every year for many years for our Family Reunion. The Great-Grandchildren think it is the best place to come to. This year they were a little more organized and a lot busier. Grounds were well kept. Firewood was delivered! In between the playground and the pool, the campground accommodates the many ages of kids our family brings.
