Campground Description
44 campsites located in the beautiful evergreen forest. Sites range from full-service RV pull-through sites to unserviced tent sites. We offer 2 bright, clean heated washrooms with shower facilities. Firewood is available at the main office, along with basic snacks such as drinks and popcorn. We stock a supply of often forgotten items for camping such as Power adaptors, sewer hoses, levelling blocks and other smaller camping supplies. There are numerous hiking trails suitable for all ages located within the campground. The nearby lake (walking distance) offers canoe rentals and a beach for swimming. Come and enjoy!
Local Attractions
Lake McDonald is located within a 10 minute walk of the campground and offers canoe rentals, swimming, and snack stand. Change rooms are also available. If you're into hiking, check out McDonald park. Trails range from wheelchair friendly 1.5km loop to advanced 10km trails with a beautiful view of the McDonald valley. Groceries are available in the Hamlet of McDonald just 2km away which also has Nina's Breakfast Place - know for the best breakfast in the valley!

Alberta has restricted gatherings of more than 50 people in order to reduce the spread of the virus. We are encouraging campers to maintain social distancing of 2 meters in gatherings of less than 15 people.
Check-In & Out
Check in time is at 3pm, and check is out is 11am. Please let the campground know of any late arrivals or departures.
Noise
Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and is required to be minimized from 11p.m.–7a.m.
Pets
Pets must be under control at all times and on leash when outside of private RVs or tents. Pets must not make excessive noise nor be aggressive or destructive. Owners must clean up after pets immediately. Pets must not be left unattended except safely in private RVs. If left in RVs, pets must be checked on regularly.
Fires
Portable propane fire pits, gas or propane stoves, barbecues for cooking and fires in designated fire pits are permitted. All other fires, including candles and torches, are prohibited.
Off-Road Vehicles
The use of off-road motorized vehicles on the property is prohibited. Any such vehicles brought onto the property must be stored on trailers or in vehicles at all times.
Cancellation Policy
Please cancel 4 days prior to arrival for a full refund minus the non-refundable reservation fee, and any applicable credit card fees. Reservations cancelled less than 4 days prior to arrival will not be entitled to a refund.
To cancel your reservation, please do so through your traveler profile, or contact the campground directly.
Payment in full will be charged at the time of booking in addition to a non-refundable reservation fee of $5.00 plus tax. Any reservations paid by e-transfer must be sent within 1 hour of booking, or the reservation will be subject to cancellation.
All camping reservations require persons that are 18 years of age or older. The person making the reservation must occupy the site.
A maximum of 6 people per site. One vehicle per site; one additional vehicle per site is allowed for a fee. During long weekends, the minimum booking period is 2 nights.
At least four full days’ notice must be given for changes or cancellations. If this notice is given, the pre-payment will be refunded excluding the original reservation fee and any applicable reservation fees. There will be no refunds for reservations cancelled less than four days before arrival. If guests do not arrive by 2:00pm the day after the scheduled arrival date, the remainder of the reservation will be deemed cancelled with no refund.
If management closes the campground, all fees, including reservation fees will be refunded. Refunds will not be given for weather, wildlife, insects, water, air quality, fire or liquor bans, vehicle or trailer trouble, getting lost, closed amenities, or advisories.
