Local Attractions

Hartney is home to many great attractions with lots to do all year round. In the summer the pool is the place to be with public swimming, swimming lessons, deep water training and aquasizes all taking place here. We are only a quick drive away from a newly renovated 9 hole golf course. The Fairgrounds is down the street with three baseball diamonds and a new play structure as well as the school grounds that has soccer pitches, basketball hoops and more play equipment. In August we are home to Hartney Hopper Days which is our local festival. The Lauder Sandhills which create beautiful scenery for hiking, pictures and bird watching is only a 10 minute drive away. The Souris River, which flows just outside of town is great for canoeing, kayking, floating and fishing
