Established in 1904, Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort is a 4-season run resort, one of the oldest of its kind in B.C. situated 40 minutes drive from Kamloops or 30 minutes from the world-class ski resort of Sun Peaks. The resort is a great family destination, equipped with a store, lakefront beach, docking area, walking/ biking trails, playground, picnic tables and large grassy areas. We have a range of cabins, RV sites and tenting options available. Knouff Lake is a fishing paradise, with a distinct species of rainbow trout famous for their size holding a North American Fly Fishing Record of 17.5lbs for a dry fly catch. Gate Hours: Open at 8:00 am / Close at 10:00 pm
Registration: All guests must register at the office located in the main lodge before proceeding to your cabin or campsite.
Check-in/out: Check-in time: 2:00 pm-8:00 pm/ Check-out time 8:00 am-11:00 am.
Pets: All pets must be on a leash at all times, NO pets on the beach, docks or in the bathroom facilities. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Limiting 2 dogs per cabin or campsite. Absolutely NO dogs on beds at any time.
Quiet time: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. All music must be at a reasonable noise level, please respect your neighbor. *Excessive music/noise will NOT be tolerated at any time.
Fires/Fire Pit: Please do NOT move fire pits. All fires must be put out by 12:00am (midnight).
Smoking: Is not permitted on the beach, docks or in any of the resort buildings, this includes the office, cabins, bathroom facilities & laundry room. Please put out cigarettes in a proper container. Do NOT leave on the ground as we have children & pets.
Garbage: Be bear aware, please put all garbage in the bins provided around the resort. We also have bottle and can recycling. Do NOT burn garbage.
Day Visitors: Day visitors to registered guests staying at the resort must sign-in at the office and get a day pass. Day passes are $5.00 per adult (10 years and younger are free). *All day visitors must leave the resort before 10:00 pm.
Overnight Visitors: Visitors staying with registered guests overnight must purchase a parking pass from the office. $10.00 per vehicle.
Wifi/Cell service: There is no cell service & we do not supply wifi at the resort. We do have a pay phone for phone calls.
Showers: Are located in the main bathhouse and coin operated, loonies only.
Wood: Wood is available for purchase $20/per wheel barrow load
Boat Launch: $5.00 (Pay at office prior to boat launch)
Sani Dump: $8.00 (Pay at office prior to Sani dump)
LIABILITY: All persons using the resort facilities do so at your own risk.
Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort & staff are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss or damage to personal property.
Parents are responsible for any/all children for the duration of the stay.

Cancellations made after the 14 days will not be refunded *Some covid-19 exceptions will apply.

Don't be shy...place EVERYTHING you can think of in this box. There is lots of room.
There are no refunds for inclement weather, late arrivals, or early departures.
Bookings cannot be amended within 3 days of arrival.

“No Shows” will not be refunded under any circumstances.
If you wish to cancel your reservation and receive a refund, we require a notice of a minimum of 3 business days (with Noon being the starting time). All cancellations will be subject to a $5 service fee. There will no exceptions, regardless of the circumstances, so please see the examples below.
Example 1:You have a reservation for a long weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights). On Tuesday, you have a family emergency and you know that you will not be able to go camping that weekend. If you contact the Village of Carbon by telephone or email before Tuesday at noon, you will qualify for a refund. This allows 3 complete business days before the Noon check in time at the campground on Friday. If you call at any time after 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on the Tuesday, you will not receive any refund. No exceptions.
Example 2: You have a reservation that starts next Tuesday. On Thursday you decide that you have to cancel your reservation. If you contact the Village of Carbon by telephone or email before Thursday at noon, you will qualify for a refund. This allows for 3 business days notice (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday) before the noon check in on Tuesday. If you call at any time after 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on the Thursday, you will not receive any refund. No exceptions.
