St. Paul Iron Horse

Jul 7, 2024by Rick and Joanne Phillips
My wife and I stayed here for 5 days. Will definitely come back again. The closeness to the trail was the deciding factor on our decision to stay here. The caretakers Pat and Don were great to deal with. The only “issue” would be the showers. Other than the handicap stalls, the shower head is firmly attached closely to the wall and no adjustment is possible. Other than that, it is a great campsite.

St. Paul Iron Horse

I have been going to The Iron horse trail campground for many many years it is best in the area. I have gotten to know the new managers and when you get to know them they are nice people. Other reviews people complain about where they walk their pets and go to the bathroom. such laws wouldn't be necessary if people were responsible pet owners. your pet is not the campground pet and sure hate it when their peeing on my tires and around my unit and pickup your poop!! Other constructive criticism would be to add trees along the highway and perimeter and between sites to create a buffer for noise. Wind during some storms I had my trailer lifted of the ground, and look how you would help the environment. The next thing is some sewer pipes are to high and it makes it near impossible to drain your trailer. They should be just above ground level not 2 or 3 feet. Next up is the speed in the campground and it is up to her to enforce it, not the tenant, there has been occasion that somebody comes into the campground a little hot and really not un reasonable and may park in the vicinity of my unit and she is calling on the phone to tell us to tell them to slow down when they're not even my guests. Last I wish camping fees were a little more reasonable.

Great campground

Campground is great

Great campground if….. you don’t have a dog. The caretakers seem so nice until they see your dog and ask you to walk into weeds to have your dog pee. It might wreck the grass! Can’t put out a trailer mat…. It might wreck the grass. We loved our time at this site but wish the caretakers weren’t so concerned about the grass

Nice campground

Excellent facility, very modern and built to a high standard. The adjacent hall makes it ideal for a family reunion. The lady caretaker should not be so concerned about the grass. It is very durable.!
