Campground Description

Willmore Park offers an extensive multi-use trail system, bike park, scenic views, canoe launch, day use, group use, overnight and backcountry camping facilities. The park offers 41 non-serviced campsites and one large backcountry campsite. Campsites and group use areas must be booked by reservation. Firepits and picnic tables are supplied. On hot summer days, the sandy beaches of the McLeod River are a very popular spot to head for a swim or soak up the sun. Our 12 km loop trail system is perfect for short walks, longer hikes, or mountain biking. The trails offer a nice mix of rolling terrain, short uphills, and intermediate downhills through old growht mixed-wood forest along the McLeod River. The park is home to many wildlife including white-tailed and mule deer, squirrels and forest/riparian birds. It is important to keep in mind when visiting the park that you are in bear country.
