If you are looking for a place to stay in northern Alberta Zama city campground is it of the way and a beautiful gem. The campground is very well taken care of. Sports are clean and give lots of time for the dollar spent. And you cannot beat the price for fully serviced sites

Zama City Campground

Located inside the small hamlet of Zama City, in the far north-west corner of Alberta.  This small gem of a spot is used by tourists, workers in the area and yes even the hamlet locals set up camp and enjoy!

The Campground and the Community Park are combined to offer a greater level of service.  There are a wide range of campsites that are treed, private and cozy and some that are larger pull-thru sites, with trees and spaced for privacy.  Full-serviced sites, pull thru sites have higher amp power capacity, coin operated showers and washrooms as well as outhouses throughout the facility, activity and event shelter, playpark, swimming hole with floating dock, stocked fish pond and horseshoe pits.

*New in 2021 will be a disc golf course as well as two Glamping Cabins – watch for additional details on booking these units.

We are an off the beaten path community, so please come prepared.  We do have a small convenience store that is open 4-8 most days, they offer the basics as well as Zama City Merchandise.  The Store is located at Noralta Inn West.  Fuel is available from the Blue Wave Cardlock, either require cardlock account card or you can use Credit Cards in the readers.

Cooler Ice is available as well, please ask a local :)

Alberta’s most Northern Library is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon and enjoy a session in our massage chair, open Monday to Friday 9-4 pm and evenings Mon-Wed 6:30 -8:30 pm (holidays may differ).  We have a special promotion for campground users to access borrowing materials… ask the Librarian!  We also have a Little Free Library that offers a selection of books and materials that you can keep!

The ‘Gym’ is a 24-hour fitness facility that offers cardio and strength equipment and you can inquire about a gym pass as an add on if you would like to break a sweat during your stay.

We are an ATV friendly facility and community so feel free to bring your ATV’s and explore our backyard.  Riding responsibly is required, ride safe, be fire-smart and bring out what you take in!

We hope you enjoy our community as much as us locals do!

COVID rules are dependent upon ever changing Provincial restrictions.  We require all guest to take the initiative to clean public surfaces prior and after use, public spaces are use and enjoy at ‘own risk’.  If you aren’t feeling well please stay home, if you cannot stay home, please keep your distance and be respectful, as we are a close knit isolated community with very little health supports.  Campers are urged to bring their own hand sanitizer.  Site-to-site visits are discouraged, unless the site is occupied by immediate family members or cohort family as recommended by the Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health.

Firewood is available for no charge, please bring your axe as not all firewood may be split.  You are welcome to use deadfall around your site but are not allowed to cut trees or branches within the campground / park facility.
